Creative Wellbeing Workshops for Teams & Retreats

Bespoke watercolour and sketchbook sessions for corporate teams, retreat days, and organisations

When Did You Last Do Something Just for the Joy of It?

Most people in your team probably couldn't answer that quickly. Not because they don't want to, but because there's always something more urgent, more measurable or more justifiable. We are programmed for productivity and output, which is important, but it's not everything.

We all have busy lives and creativity, especially art, is usually the first thing to go. And without often realising it, it's what people miss most. That feeling of being absorbed in something, using your hands, making something that didn't exist before.

These creative wellbeing workshops create the space for that to happen. Not as a reward for hard work or a box to tick on a wellbeing agenda, but as a genuine pause. A pause that so often leaves people feeling more like themselves than they have done in a long time.

No experience needed, no outcome to aim for, just a non-judgemental creative space and the gentle encouragement to start.

Imogen’s session was the self-care I didn’t know I needed. She made it feel easy, gentle and nourishing. I left with a painting I was proud of and a whole new sense of calm.
— Lizzy, Workshop Attendee

It was lovely to have you with us for our Belmond Retreat. All the participants that had that time with you really enjoyed it. Hope we can do more with you. It was lovely to see smiley relaxed faces.

The Person Behind the Session

These workshops are led by someone who understands from the inside what it means to feel disconnected from your own creativity and what it can feel like to find your way back.

I came to illustration after nearly thirteen years as an interior designer, and my work has always been rooted in the idea that stories live in places, details, and people. Running creative programmes with West Kent Mind for the past two years has shaped everything about how I facilitate — not just the creative side, but the human side too. (You can read more about that work here.) I've seen what happens when someone picks up a brush for the first time in years and realises they're capable of making something. I've seen how it can help people who didn't even know they needed it.

I don't just create a nice afternoon — that's not really my job. My role is to hold space for people who might feel nervous, resistant, or convinced they have no creativity in them. To help them take those vulnerable first steps, guide them through, and come out the other side feeling the reward of that. To remind people that creativity is possible for everyone, including them, and that it is a tool readily available to all of us, with more benefits than most of us realise.

My approach is warm, encouraging, and entirely non-prescriptive. I won't tell your team how to paint — I'll help them find their own way. We are all different and art needs to reflect that. There is no one size fits all; it is a creative expression of yourself. The training I've built alongside my creative practice means I can support people with care and skill, whatever they bring into the room.

West Kent Mind has been working in partnership with Imogen for the last two years. Her impact on our clients has been transformative. She has provided a safe and welcoming space where our clients feel empowered to explore their emotions, build confidence, and begin to get well and stay well.

On workshop day, Imogen’s table proved more popular than we could have hoped. Two-thirds of the men attending had a go — a tribute to the way Imogen tailored her approach to suit each individual. Many of them asked if she could come again next week.
